In Ramadan, Habbakadal residents face acute water scarcity

Srinagar:  Residents of Dalhassanyar Habbakadal Srinagar on Sunday claimed that they are facing acute water shortage in the area.

The locals said that the area has been facing acute water shortage since last one month adding the government has failed to resolve the issue.

“The month of Ramadan has commenced and our problems has doubled now. The problem of water scarcity emerged a month ago and we even protests against the same,” said Ali Mohammad, a local resident.

The locals said the concerned department has failed to provide them smooth water supply despite making many representation at the PHE office.

“The supply of drinking water has been erratic. We get water supply once in every four days which doesn’t suffice us,” they said.
