Srinagar: Two senior doctors holding top positions in J&K Health department and four other contacts of an IAS officer, who tested positive for coronavirus after his recent visit to Srinagar, have been advised one week home quarantine.
According to the official order issued by Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar, the six “low risk contacts” have been traced and put under home quarantine for an initial period of one week starting June 1.
The IAS officer had visited Srinagar in the last week of May.
“Sampling will be done on the 6th day of most recent exposure for the persons, who were in contact with the officer concerned during his visit to Srinagar,” reads the order.
A senior official who is among the quarantined confirmed this development.
“We were directed to go into home quarantine last evening,” he said.
