Srinagar, July 22: Police have rescued 3 more minor girls and arrested 2 persons involved in human trafficking in Baramulla.
During the investigation of the case, it surfaced that two more persons identified as Ghulam Mohammad Khan son of Ab Rehman resident of Narbal, and Manzoor Ahmad Shah son of Gh Mohammad resident of Janbazpora, were also involved in the trafficking and exploitation of minor girls from outside J&K.
Subsequently, a team from Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO arrested both the accused. They have been shifted to Police Station Baramulla. Three minor Rohingya girls have been rescued.
Pertinently two accused from Baramulla were arrested and 4 minor girls were rescued during the initial investigation of the case.
“This operation demonstrates the commitment of the J&K Police to combating human trafficking and ensuring the safety and dignity of vulnerable individuals,” a police spokesman said.
