Pulwama, April 03: ELFA International organized a series of workshops on Child Safety and Protection at different schools of district Pulwama.
The workshops organized on 2nd and 3rd April, 2019 were held at Rehmat-e-Alam Model School Reshipora, Government Higher Secondary Gulzarpora, Government High School Pahoo and Government UPS, Dogam.
The aim of the program was to sensitize the teachers, parents and students on UN Convention on Rights of Children, various forms of child abuse and how to deal with such situations
All the teachers, students and support staff of these school participated in the training workshop. Several tools and techniques were employed by team ELFA International to train the teachers about the different ways to make children aware about their rights, various abuses including child sexual abuse.
The trainer of the program M. Khan, who is also the CEO, ELFA International raised awareness among the participants about the rights of children including Right to Education, Right to Health, Right to Participation and Right to Protection etc.
