Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone on Wednesday tied the knot in Italy. The ceremony took place at a resort overlooking Lake Como in Italy. The duo just like Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli kept the ceremony an intimate affair with only close friends and family in attendance.
The wedding took place in traditional South Indian style. Before the wedding, the couple exchanged rings following Konkani customs. On Tuesday, they hosted their sangeet and mehendi ceremony. According to IANS, on Thursday, they will marry according to traditional Anand Karaj ceremony.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expected to return to the country on November 18 and will make their first public appearance as a married couple at their Bengaluru reception which is scheduled for November 21. Later, the two stars of Bollywood will host a reception on November 28 in Mumbai for friends and colleagues from the industry.
Deepika, recently, on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan confirmed dating Ranveer for over six years. The two have acted together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. If reports are to be believed, the two started dating on the sets of their first film together, Ram-Leela.
On the work front, Ranveer has a release scheduled for December this year. The actor will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba which also stars Sara Ali Khan.
