DC Kulgam visits Altaf Memorial GDC Kilam GHSS Kilam to assess the institutions functioning infrastructure academic environment staff availability scaled

KULGAM, MAY 13: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today visited Altaf Memorial Government Degree College Kilam and Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Kilam to take firsthand assessment of their overall functioning.

During the visit, DC took stock of the existing infrastructure, academic environment, and staff availability.

He also conducted an interactive session with students at both the institutions to gain insights into their academic needs, challenges, and aspirations. Emphasizing the importance of quality education, DC assured that all necessary measures would be taken to further strengthen the educational setup.

He urged the teaching staff to maintain high standards of education and work collectively for the holistic development of students. He also urged students to make the best use of facilities, resources and time for a bright and successful future

On the occasion students also put forth several demands aimed at enhancing academic excellence and improving facilities at these institutions. DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Viqar Ahmad Giri; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Meanwhile, Khan also visited  Ghulam Mustafa Nazim Memorial Hospital at  Kilam to take stock of healthcare facilities and staff availability. During the visit, DC inspected various sections of the hospital, and reviewed the availability of essential services, medical equipment and manpower. He interacted with the staff and patients to assess the quality of healthcare facilities.

Khan emphasized the importance of providing timely and efficient medical care to the public and assured that necessary steps will be taken to address any gaps in infrastructure or services. He also directed the concerned officials to ensure round-the-clock healthcare delivery, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital premises.
