Kashmir remained shut on the 14th consecutive day on Wednesday in an effort to contain coronavirus pandemic.

Majority of the population is strictly adhering to social isolation by staying indoors ensuring that the virus does not spread.

So far at least 55 persons in Kashmir have tested positive for the virus, which first starting infecting people in China back in December 2019, and has spread to almost all the countries with over 8.50 lakh cases globally.

Over 43000 people have died of the infection in the world including two deaths in Kashmir.
