SRINAGAR, AUGUST 27: BJP candidates from Anantnag, Pulwama, and Shopian filed their nominations for the J&K Assembly elections today in the presence of BJP National Executive Member and senior party leader Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi.
Mohammad Rafiq Wani filed nominations for Anantnag West, Advocate Syed Wajahat for Anantnag, Javed Ahmad Qadiri for Shopian, and Arshid Bhat for Rajpora in Pulwama. Dr Darakhshan and the candidates were escorted to the returning offices in large processions with significant public participation.
“BJP’s manifesto will be released within a few days. The manifesto will be a people’s vision document, and we will implement this agenda in letter and spirit,” said Dr Andrabi while speaking to the media. She noted that the candidates have served their respective areas for years and that people have trust in the party to which they belong.
“BJP has shaped a new political order in J&K, leaving little room for the sentimental exploitation of the people by politicians. People now aspire for a peaceful and progressive life, and only BJP has a clear-cut roadmap related to people’s progress and development. During the past five years, we have shown unprecedented transformation at the ground level in J&K under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership,” said Andrabi.
