Nasha Mukt JK Abhiyan Pulwama administration continues panchayat level awareness campaign scaled

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 04: In continuation of the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, the Cultural Unit Srinagar of the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), in association with Government Boys Higher Secondary School Shalimar, conducted an impactful awareness programme aimed at sensitizing youth on the menace of drug abuse.

A powerful short play, staged by a team of local theatre performers, compellingly depicted the harmful consequences of substance addiction on individuals, families, and the community at large. The stirring performance left a strong impression on the audience, particularly the student community encouraging open dialogue and reinforcing the message of prevention.

Gazala Parveen, Principal of the host institution, appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in tackling the drug crisis.

Burhan Hussain, Cultural Officer, highlighted the vital role of cultural expressions and performing arts in nurturing awareness and social responsibility. The event concluded with a heartfelt pledge by both students and staff to support a drug-free society.

Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, district administration Pulwama today conducted a series of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) camps across various panchayats in the district.

These awareness programmes were aimed at sensitising the local population, particularly the youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
