B’la candidate Shaheen not to contest LS polls; will support NC

Srinagar, Mar 28: A candidate for upcoming parliamentary polls from Baramulla constituency, Abdul Rashid Shaheen on Thursday said that he will not contest the elections and will extend unconditional support to National Conference (NC) candidate.

Recently, Shaheen launched his party namely Jammu and Kashmir Awami Conference.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held at party head office Qamarwari Srinagar to discuss about the withdrawal of nomination from the parliamentary elections 2019, Baramulla constituency.

In the meeting, it was declared that Shaheen Chairman of JK Awami Conference will not contest from the Baramulla constituency and will give unconditional support to the NC candidate.

“We will give over full support to National Conference in the upcoming polls and bringing secular forces in power is in the larger interest of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said
