Srinagar, Feb 15: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik on Friday condemned the slapping of second consecutive PSA on JKLF leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt who has been shifted to Islamabad Sub-Jail.

In a statement issued to media, the spokesman said High court had recently quashed PSA on him and he was shifted to Kupwara jail from Kot-balwal form where he has been again slapped with PSA.

Condemning this ‘state repression’, Malik said that “using black laws to prolong incarceration of political leaders and activists is most undemocratic and tyrannical.”

Malik has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of Abdul Ahad Lone who was the father of senior JKLF member Fayaz Ahmad Lone of Kaw Mohala Khanyar.

JKLF leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Ghulam Muhammad Dar and others reached Khanyar and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

While praying for the heavenly abode of the deceased, they also prayed for the Sabr-i-Jamil of his bereaved family.

Meanwhile, JKLF paid tributes to Haigam martyrs who rendered sacrifices in 2001 when forces opened fire on peaceful protesters who were protesting against the custodial killing of JKLF leader Jalil Ahmad Shah.

On the occasion, a congregational prayers meeting was held at Hygam Sopore in which JKLF district president Syed Nisar Jeelani and other participated and paid tributes to these martyrs.

While remembering the struggle and sacrifices of Jalil Ahmad Shah and others including women, JKLF leaders prayed for the heavenly abode of martyrs and reiterated their pledge to take the mission of these martyrs to its desired goal.
